Goodmorning Prima Donnaz!
So I made a resolution to blog all of Pastor Wole Soetan’s pieces 😆😆😆
I’m excited at how much this is going to bless you tremendously. I know I am blessed everyday through P. Wolz’s ministry (yeah, we call him P. Wolz. We are tush like that), and I am not a selfish person, I want you blessed too….
Today, P. Wolz’s talks about being “Purpose Driven”. I am not a biological accident, and you are not. We were made for a purpose, by a purpose and with a purpose!!! Now, let’s hear P. Wolz!!!!!
Heb 12:2c TLB “…let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.”
Everyone has a race to run. 1 Cor 9:24 MSG says “Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win.” The common thing to us all is that there is a race. However, God has set before each one of us a particular race (Heb 12:2 TLB).
Having your particular race to run has different applications. Firstly, you don’t have to be jealous when things happen for someone else. God has specific plans for you and His plans won’t hurt (Jer 29:11 NCV). So, while waiting on God, “run with patience” and move with faith. Secondly, don’t compare yourself with someone else. You have your unique purpose; your life assignment separate from theirs. Rom 12:3 CEV says “Use good sense and measure yourself by the amount of faith that God has given you.”
You are unique, and so is your purpose. 1 Cor 12:7 CEV says “The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others.” Don’t look down on your gift because it comes natural/ easy to you. Work on it because it’s a special gift from God. The purpose of purpose is the Kingdom and not self: “And He Himself gave some…for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Eph 4:11-12). The essence of your gifting is giving: “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another” (1 Pet 4:10 NKJV). There’s a cloud of witnesses cheering you on (Heb 12:1), so run. Run your own race.
