Halo Prima Donna! It’s sure been a while. I discovered that I have been more active on my Facebook page than on the blog, but guess what? That is changing.
So, I made a decision last month to read through 6 books before the end of the year (I need ya’ll to pray for me 😁), but sincerely, I’m so loving learning and growing. It’s amazing how that God has placed answers to questions we may have about life, in the hearts of people around us. There is a part of God in everyone you come across…I’ll deal with that in another post.
Well, I’m currently reading “Secrets of an Irresistible Woman” by my favorite female author, Michelle Mckinney Hammond, and I can’t tell you how many “aha!” moments I have had. I was inspired to share the lessons from that book (will be adding few personal notes too), as I believe it will be a blessing to you!
Are you ready? Let’s go!
Who exactly is a woman of Spiritual Principle?
Michelle Says: A Principles woman has a learned knowledge and understanding of who she is in the eyes of God and understands her worth. She knows and understands that she is royalty, that she is seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:9) and that she is valued far above the price of rubies (Psalm 31:11).
A Principles woman is a woman of unsurpassable character, has her head, heart and spirit together, and has developed and is actively using her gifts (You remember our definition of a Prima Donna?)
A Principles woman knows the promises of God concerning her, and keeps them close to her heart. She won’t settle for anything less than God’s best.
A Principles woman is a well-kept lady. She keeps her heart, her time, her body for those things worthy and deserving of her attention. She doesn’t get distracted by or caught up in things that are not edifying or uplifting to herself or those in the world.
A Principles woman soars above negativity and other people’s trivial opinions (!!!I like). She’s doesn’t follow the popular opinions, she’s quite comfortable flying solo; she knows that she’s never really alone.
A Principles woman is a lady at all times. She never goes off, even when tempted to excuse herself from the presence of Jesus (this one had me like!!!!) She manages to stifle the urge and she lets God fight her battles!
Personal note: Everything a Principles woman is is antithesis the world’s standard. Well, isn’t that what Jesus said, ‘Ye are in the world, but not of this world? If we are not of this world, then baby, we shouldn’t live by its principles (notice, it is a small p).
Being a Principles woman requires an unusual level of strength (not the one that comes through might or power). For example, this woman never goes off! When the cab driver steps on her toes, or the cashier at the bank is wasting her precious time, or situations around her are threatening her peace, she remains cool, calm and collected! This type of strength comes from intimacy with the Holy Spirit (…that’s all).
Principles women are rare; and rarity means that their value is priceless. You think of it, ‘How many women do you know who ticks all the boxes above? Ahan! (Eyes rolling), I thought so too!
We are the light of the world, we are to show the world how to live. We don’t do this by fitting into their mould, we do this by standing out, and we stand out through alignment with God’s Principles!!! See you tomorrow!
